Gregory Saville
Gregory Saville is a criminologist and urban planner specializing in crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) and police training in emotional intelligence and problem-based learning. He has consulted to the U.S. government and delivered training around the world including the Sydney 2000 Olympics, the Japan National Police, the RCMP, and the international Problem-Oriented Policing conference. He is a former police officer and for 10 years ran the first consultancy in Canada to specialize in CPTED and problem-oriented policing. He is a founder, and lifetime member, of the International CPTED Association. He is a judge for the Herman Goldstein Award for Excellence in Problem-Oriented Policing. He is a former professor at the Public Safety and Forensic Science center at the University of New Haven, and research associate in criminology at Florida State University. He is currently co-chair of the Police Society for Problem Based Learning.
