Create My Plan

Budget Spent

The mayor has given you a new budget within which to work to create your plan to combat the problem of street prostitution in Central City.

Each response you choose has an associated cost (measured as a percentage of the total budget). As you add responses to your plan, your budget spent will change.

The budget you are working with currently is only for implementing your plan. Your past budget for analysis has no effect on your current budgeting.

Back to Analysis

This button allows you to return to the Analysis section, where you can continue your investigation as needed. In the Analysis section, click the “Review My Plan” button to return.

Problem File

The problem file allows you to review the products of your analysis (interviews, reports, maps, etc.). This page also lets you read the initial newspaper article, letter to the editor, and memo from the mayor.

Click the “Show/Hide Details” button to reveal the results of that method. When the details are shown, you can click the button to hide the information again.

The Problem File page lists your research in reverse chronological order, that is, the last analysis method you chose will be listed at the top, while the first item chosen will be at the bottom of the list. In fact, the last three items in the list will always be the newspaper article, the editorial, and the memo from the mayor, which you viewed upon starting the module.

Responses

The “Responses” button links to a list of all the responses which were revealed through your analysis and which have not been added to your plan.

Each response has an implementation cost. You must be mindful of the total implementation cost when creating your plan.

Clicking the “Add to Plan” button will add that response to your plan. Once you click, you will see a page which confirms your choice.

Clicking the “Show/Hide Details” button will reveal more information about that response. When the details are shown, clicking that same button will hide the information from view.

My Plan

The “My Plan” button leads to your plan: all the responses which you have chosen to include.

Clicking the "Remove from Plan" button will remove that response from your plan and return it to the "Responses" page. Once you click to remove the response, you will see a page which confirms your choice.

Clicking the “Show/Hide Details” button will reveal more information about that response. When the details are shown, clicking that same button will hide the information from view.

Submit My Plan

When you are satisfied with your plan, you are ready to submit your plan to the mayor.

First, you will get a page confirming your choice. Clicking the “Cancel” button will return you to the My Plan page. Click “Submit My Plan” if you are confident your plan is sound.

After submitting your plan, you will receive a memo from the mayor, summarizing the results of your plan. From the left navigation bar, you will be able to see more detailed feedback concerning your choices, including the impact your responses had on the statistics presented early in the course.

Once you review your feedback, please complete the evaluation. This will help us improve our training products and focus future projects on your specific needs.
