Aiden Sidebottom

  Aiden Sidebottom is an Associate Professor in the Department of Security and Crime Science at University College London. His main research interests are problem-oriented policing, crime prevention and the police response to missing persons. Recent externally funded research has focused on facilitating both evidence-based and problem-oriented policing, in collaboration with the UK College of Policing, Home Office and South Yorkshire Police. Aiden has edited three books and has over 50 publications, including two recent guides on doing and implementing problem-oriented policing. Aiden is the Assistant Editor-in-Chief for the Crime Science Journal. He is also a member of the academic advisory board for Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services.
