Barbara Raymond was the program director for The California Endowment where she focuses on the role of violence prevention in building healthy communities. She has worked in the field of public safety since 1996, focusing on program development and evaluation, organizational assessment, and training. Raymond served as a project director in the Community Policing Bureau of the Seattle Police Department, as manager of the King County Drug Court, and as a criminal justice researcher with the RAND Corporation. She has consulted with a wide variety of police agencies as well as probation and court organizations and has published on public safety issues and military staffing and training matters. Raymond holds a bachelor's degree in government from Pomona College and a master's degree in education and public policy from Seattle University.
