Stephen Smallbone worked as a correctional psychologist for eight years before taking up an academic appointment in 1998. He is currently a senior lecturer in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University and is Director of the Griffith Adolescent Forensic Assessment and Treatment Centre. Since completing his Ph.D. in 1999, Dr. Smallbone has produced more than 20 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on sexual offending.
