Alicia completed her master's degree in criminal justice at the State University of New York at Albany in August 2005. She earned her bachelor's degree in criminal justice, with a minor in psychology, at Russell Sage College in Troy, New York. She has previously interned on research projects providing curriculum for practitioners dealing with persons with co-occurring disorders (substance abuse and mental illness) who are justice-involved. She is currently employed as a caseworker in the Child Protective Services (CPS) unit of Washington County in upstate New York, and is responsible for investigating reports of child abuse and neglect as received through the State Central Registry (SCR).
