What is known about the clients is that many of them are family men, men of high positions of power, high socio-economic status, married, are residences, and rarely have a criminal history. What’s even worse is that some of those men are even police officers from different districts.

2. How committed are clients to prostitution?

Some of the clients I interviewed said that they only committed to prostitutes that they have already “meet” with. However besides that clients I think it’s fair to assume that the clients aren’t too committed to the prostitutes.

3. What groups are particularly concerned and why? What specific concerns are expressed?

The groups that are particularly concerned with the prostitution epidemic are the businesses owners, residents, police staff, service providers, community leaders, basically everyone. The businesses owners are concerned because prostitutes outside of their establishment negatively impacts their profits. Residents are concerned because they don’t wanna see prostitutes in their town. Police staff are concerned because they keep getting more calls about prostitutes which is taking up valuable time and resources. Service providers are concerned because they don’t want to see the prostitutes continue in their violent cycle of self-destruction. Lastly, the community leaders are concerned because the residents are calling on them to do something and need to stop this in order to better the city.

4. How committed are they to soliciting prostitutes on the street or in a particular area?

At least with the John’s that I interviewed some were not as committed to soliciting prostitutes on the street or in a particular area. This is because the John’s (clients) have a big fear of being caught and thus fear their family, friends, and community find out that they were caught with a prostitute.
