Prostitutes are extremely engaged in the sale or use of drugs. Most of the prostitutes that were arrested are addicted to drugs are have a drug problem. They are clearly addicted and some of them do work the streets to pay back drug dealers they owe. 3 out of the 4 clients that were arrested weren't really involved in the sale or use of drugs. One of the clients, Jim Paxton, does go into the city simply to buy drugs, but will exchange or share the drugs he bought with the prostitutes for oral sex. It was unclear whether or not the pimps are engaged in the sale or use of drugs as they are not talked about in the interviews.

According to some of the prostitutes, prostitution and street drug markets are near each other. They often go hand in hand in terms of clients buying drugs and using those drugs for sexual exhanges from the prostitutes.

There is not much information about the clients in concerns of race, age, occupation, ect. What is known about the clients is that they take safety precautions in terms of which prostitute to go to and which are is considered to be "safe" for the sexual transactions. These clients typically do this discreetly and plead guilty to charge so they can get the case over with and are not publicly humiliated from their charges.

I would say these clients are moderately committed to prostitution because they know what and who to look for. The clients have stated how they know who to go to ensure they have safe sex. They know where to go to exchange these sexual transactions and they know when nether or not if the time they go to look for prostitutes is safe or not.

3. What groups are particularly concerned and why? What specific concerns are expressed?

Some of the specific concerns that are expressed are safety and getting caught by the police. They do not want to get caught by the police and if they do they want their case to go by quickly to not face public humiliation.

I would say there are not very committed to soliciting prostitutes on the street in a particular area. 3 out of the 4 clients are more concerned about ensuring what and who they are doing is safe.

Street prostitutes will usually be standing near areas that are usually populated by men such as bars. Most of the time, clients will just drive up in their cars because they want to stay hidden from others as much as possible. Sexual transactions will either happen in the client's car or they might drive to somewhere secluded. Also, sometimes the bars will let the prostitutes use their space to bring in clients and compete sexual transactions.

Clients can solicit prostitutes by foot as well as from a vehicle. Most men do not want anyone to recognize they so they will just park and solicit a prostitute from their car.
