1. What is known about the clients (e.g., age, race, occupation, socio-economic status, marital status, criminal history, residence)?

Most of the clients are adult men, a lot of them college-aged, and they usually don’t live in the area. They have cars and money and usually don’t have serious criminal records. Many of them come after drinking at nearby bars.

2. How committed are clients to prostitution?

They’re not super committed. A lot of it seems impulsive and happens after nightlife or drinking rather than something they regularly plan.

3. What groups are particularly concerned and why? What specific concerns are expressed?

Residents and local business owners are the most concerned. They talk about traffic, noise, harassment, trash and condoms left around, and just generally feeling unsafe in the neighborhood.

4. How committed are they to soliciting prostitutes on the street or in a particular area?

They’re mostly attached to that specific area because it’s easy and known. If it becomes harder or more monitored, they’d probably stop going there instead of trying really hard to keep doing it.
