In the beginning, the police were not too concerned about the prostitution. Until backlash came from City council representative Judy Owens challenged the mayor to act quickly. With the community demanding more effort from the police, the mayor made the decision to find a viable solution.

Some members of the community are growing more concerned about the changes on Breeze Street and Scott Avenue, especially local business owners and specific customers. The personal story of seeing obvious prostitution on the walk from the parking lot, coupled with the restaurant owner's remark that "the street had changed for the worse".

The groups that are particularly concerned are some of the businesses in that area. They believe with the prostitution and high crime it is pushing costumers away and ultimately making their business go down. As Ken Harrison stated "I have even had good customers complain that they have been solicited on their way into the store. I am afraid my best customers are going to stop coming". Also, the residents are concerned with their safety in the community. As some have explained walking and seeing crimes being committed.

The community members who oppose street prostitution are active in dismissing the high prostitution and drug problem they are having. An example of this is the church on Barton St. is offering offer job training and drug rehabilitation programs.

There is more prostitution in areas of hotels and liquor stores and less around areas where there is less foot traffic such as a furniture store. Around the furniture store it is less likely for someone to be interested in a sex worker, because they are on a “mission” to get new furniture for example.

It is fairly new. From witness statements the neighborhood used to be a quiet “clean” neighborhood. I believe that it is still growing, due to the fact that there are business owners helping prostitution in order to receive for business.

It is fairly dangerous, because there are many accounts of robberies, crimes against persons, and car burglaries in those prostitution areas.

They are busy with other activities

Drug crime occurs a frequent amount. It relates to prostitution, because prostitution may not only be selling there body but also drugs. There is also a staggering amount of crimes against persons, probably because a client was dissatisfied with the prostitutions services and commits a crime against said person.

In other high foot traffic areas with hotels and night activities such as bars and night clubs.
