James Corey
James Corey has been a member of Northern Arizona University’s Business Management faculty since 2018. He has thirty years’ law enforcement experience, starting as a patrol officer with the Phoenix Police Department, and completing his career as chief administrator with the State of Arizona’s Department of Economic Security. Throughout his career he has held investigative and command positions in a variety of areas including violent crimes, internal affairs and special operations. As chief administrator of special operations, he oversaw teams of investigators that focused on human- and drug-trafficking cases. He holds a bachelor of science degree from Arizona State University and a master’s degree and doctorate in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University.
