Gohar Petrossian is an assistant professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at CUNY - John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Her research interests include crimes against wildlife, with a particular interest in illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, spatial and temporal analysis of crime and GIS mapping, environmental criminology and opportunity theories, and crime prevention. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Hartwick College, a master’s degree in criminal justice from John Jay College, and a doctorate in criminal justice from Rutgers University.
