Rachel Boba Santo is a professor of criminal justice at Radford University in Virginia. She teaches methods of research, criminal justice systems, crime prevention, problem solving, and analysis in policing, as well as conducting research in the areas of problem solving, accountability, problem analysis, and crime analysis. Previously, Dr. Boba was on the faculty at Florida Atlantic University, and Director of the Police Foundation's Crime Mapping Laboratory, where she directed federally funded grants in the areas of crime analysis and crime mapping, problem analysis, and school safety. She has also worked as a crime analyst at the Tempe, Arizona Police Department, where she conducted a wide variety of crime analysis. Most recently, Dr. Boba has published the book Crime Analysis and Crime Mapping with Sage Publications, Inc., one of the first crime analysis books for undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Boba holds a doctorate and masters degree in sociology from Arizona State University.
