Kenna Quinet

  Kenna Quinet joined the faculty at the O’Neill School at IUPUI in 1992. Her research focuses on various aspects of death and homicide including serial and mass homicides, missing persons, prostitutes as serial homicide victims, causes of death, unclaimed and unidentified dead, and opioid deaths. She teaches courses on homicide, criminological theory, serial and mass murder, and animal welfare. Quinet has received 13 teaching awards since she came to IUPUI. She is co-author (with Jamie Fox and Jack Levin) of the popular homicide textbook The Will To Kill: Making Sense of Senseless Murder. Quinet holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in sociology from the University of Illinois.
