Johannes Knutsson is professor emeritus of police research at the Norwegian Police University College, Norway, and at the Swedish National Police Academy, where he has a part-time position. He is also visiting professor at the Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science, University College London, and at Transcrime (Joint Research Center on Transnational Crime) Universit di Trento-Universit Cattolica di Milano. He has published several evaluation studies of crime preventive measures as well as studies on policing. He is co-editor, with Ronald V. Clarke, of Putting Theory to Work: Implementing Situational Prevention and Problem-Oriented Policing. Knutsson received his Ph.D. in criminology at the University of Stockholm.
